Some 150 activists from the Caucasian Diaspora held a demonstration and issued a press release in front of the Russian Consulate in Istanbul on Sunday. The event was held in protest of Vladimir Putin’s official visit to Turkey this week. The large and energetic crowd shouted slogans protesting the Russian government’s policies in the Caucasus, the Circassian Genocide and the Sochi Olympics.
