The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria Honorary Consul in Turkey, Medet Unlu was shot dead yesterday evening in Ankara, Turkey.

The incident happened at Unlu’s office, which is also used as the consulate in Ankara’s Balgat neighborhood. His relatives told us that a man wearing a hat entered the consulate office was detected on video footage by the police. It was also stated that the same person recently visited Unlu’s office several times. Ünlü was shot multiple times at his office and died at the scene. His body was taken for an autopsy and police conducted an inspection at the scene of the incident.
